Where to find serious fun

New York Toy & Hobby is located in the outdoor shops area of Clifton Park Center. There’s plenty of parking right in front of the store along our wide sidewalks. Here’s how to find us:

From the Northway
Take Exit 9. Go West on Rt. 146, then take a left at the first intersection. Clifton Park Center is ahead on your left. At the second light, turn left into our main entrance, then follow the storefronts around and to the left past Marshalls HomeGoods till you come to our store on your right.

From Schenectady
Take Balltown Rd. (Rt. 146) North out of Schnectady. Follow Rt. 146 all the way into main retail shopping area in Clifton Park. Two traffic lights before the Northway (I-87) entrance ramps, you will come to Clifton Country Rd. Turn right onto Clifton Country Rd., and Clifton Park Center is ahead on your left. At the second light, turn left into our main entrance, then follow the storefronts around and to the left past Marshalls HomeGoods till you come to our store on your right.

We're all in favor of a little gamesmanship

There’s nothing quite like board games to keep you smiling (except, of course, if you land on Boardwalk with two hotels). We carry everything from classic games like Sorry, Monopoly, Risk, and Scrabble, to the hot new games like Apples-to-Apples, Cat in the Hat, and Buzz Word on everybody’s playlist. Fun games, thinking games, learning games, and more. Plus, a variety of unique international brands you just won’t find in most stores.

It's hobbies for all ages here

Hobbies are like that. From 12 to 25 to 55, people can still love building model cars and ships.  We carry the top names in every category; so you or someone you care about can enjoy serious fun for the "ages."

One unique toy shopping experience

We think you’ll find our variety of merchandise, store displays, play tables, and our sincere desire to provide truly personal service will make your shopping experience a delight.

In addition to carrying popular, in-demand toys, we specialize in unique, hands-on toys and hobbies that truly spark a child’s imagination, engage their creativity, concentration, thinking, and more. We have toys that teach as well as entertain.

Personal attention. Expert service.

We’re dedicated to offering you personal attention and expert answers to any question you might have—about the merchandise we sell, or something you’re looking for. We sincerely look forward to getting to know you and helping you make the perfect purchase.

Please join our Serious Fun Club to enjoy special discounts and shopping opportunities only available to Club members.

Toys can teach as well as entertain

It is our goal to offer you toys that truly engage every aspect of your child’s learning and playing: imagination, concentration, thinking, coordination, and just plain fun.

We're all about quality. All about green.

We do not compromise on quality or safety. Our painted toys are made with soy-based paint, not lead. And whenever possible, we try to choose “green” toys whose makers are sensitive to the protection of our environment in the manufacture of their products.

Of course we’re about fun—fun with an eye toward your child’s enjoyment and enrichment.....

Just because I'm a sock doesn't mean I don't have feelings. Hug me! I dare you! :) Have you seen my twin brother? Last seen in the dryer, sometime last Tuesday... Don't tell me to put a sock in it. That's cannabalism. If you come into the store right now, you can buy my whole family! :( You don't want to see me frombehind. I have a big hole in the back of my neck. I'm scared of work boots. I can't breathe in there.
